It looks to me like both parties believe in big centralized government. You should check out the similarities in the "enhanced interrogation" memos issued by the Bush administration and the Nazis in pre WWII Germany if you are looking for fascist tendencies in the US. But since McCain, the biggest critic of the policy, is also a Republican I do not blame the whole party for these fascist policies.

Why do social gathering hacks on the two facets Demonize one yet another? You do understand those human beings (Democrats and Republicans) have been working hand and hand mutually for the final hundred years or so... you may have observed a Democrat controlled Congress giving Bush each and all the investment he mandatory to salary war. You do understand that the Democrats and Republicans are from the comparable profession, (legal professionals) Went to the comparable elitist colleges. (Kerry and Bush even belonged to comparable membership (cranium & Bones) and that they are from the comparable social type (the very prosperous) with the comparable hobbies to guard i don't care how plenty Pepsi declares itself the "determination of recent technology" that's nevertheless a cola and surely not each and each of diverse fron Coke. Pepsi=Obama Coke=McCain. in case you do not have faith me take the texts of the speeches from the two conventions and spot what number cases they say the comparable stuff. I choose we had some actual Fascists and a few actual Socialists in this usa. a minimum of it might obtainable to tell them aside. Our modern-day elections interest my memory of the old cartoons the place the sheep canines and the wolf clock in,, bypass at it for a quick mutually as, then clock out and bypass back to superb out mutually.

Republicans...........
Simply look at the most defining moment of Bushs' Presidency! 9/11!
Why did it take the republican controlled government more then a year to investigate?Giving the commission a miniscule amount of funding and limited time? Why did it take public outrage to get the PDB of 8/6/2001 de-classified?Why was the 20th hijacker Moussaoui in FBI custody for more then 2 weeks without the plot being foiled?

so... Bush and the Republicans shrank the government in the 6 years they had control...
and they never screened out people to attend their rallies?
and they never said anything bad about Islam, which last time I checked it is a religion?
I think it's BLATANTLY clear that which ever party a person belongs to will say it's the other party... and probably won't have a hard time finding some issues to back that up...

Well said!!
Want my gun? You can have it...bullets first.
A man with a gun is a citizen. A man without a gun is a subject.
Edit - Steven, don't be so quick to point fingers. Joseph Kennedy, father of Teddy Kennedy, was a Nazi lover. People should *never* be judged on the actions of their ancestors, for goodness sakes. I'm sure we wouldn't have to go to far in *anyone's* family tree to find someone we'd rather not associate with.

It was originally called the Democratic Republican Party and Hitler was a Christian who advocated strong Christian values.
Last I checked, Bush has increased the size of govt. and doubled federal spending, and created no free speech zones. Bush, like fascists, marginalizes the rights of the individual for the good of the state.

When WE THE PEOPLE remember that we own this country then fascism will end with the beginning of the 2nd American Revolution
