I have windows xp and the game is dvd-rom...i was thinking i might need to do something at settings...

In the regular Sims games, that's an issue with the graphics cards. Try updating your drivers. If that doesn't work, you might need a new card.

Trying to figure out what you mean? Did you click the in-game button to allow you to see Walls? there's a button you can click to either don't show walls at all, show walls but with transparency or show full solid walls. I don't know what you mean by it goes red? I'm sorry, if you were more specific I could further assist you.
