cat: :) i know kid is bored, but i was being polite. :) its best way to repsonse, but you my question and your answer. It just makes me sad, everytime i see or heard on TV news that some kid 14-17 years old just thrown a new born baby.

I really can't come up with an answer that makes sense of this. Because the act itself is so unexplainable. Being a teenage mother does not mean you do not have a strong family unit or that your parents failed you. But not taking responsibility for your actions and the human life you created is a completely different circumstance. Abortion is legal and available and why these girls that take their own babies lives don't use it is beyond me. They must be in some state of denial during the pregnancy and when the baby arrives maybe they panic. Like I said this question is so hard to answer and really takes a lot of thought that enters a dark place but I did the best I can answering with my opinion.

My thinking is it is a root cause - the probable reason these girls had kids as such young (and illegal) ages is they never had a good upbringng - no good family to teach them right and wrong, morals and immorals. Because of this, they are not protected, naive and eventually get in the wrong company, resulting in pregnancy, prostitution, drug addiction etc etc.
Having never had a good mother or father, they give birth with no idea of what to do with the child. There's even no one to tell them to give it up for adoption. They treat the baby like it is a thing, not a human being.
