I am Hispanic and I do not believe on those things at all. I mean they are a lot of people (notice I didn't just say Hispanics because they are not the only ones) that believe that if a black cats crosses in front of you you have bad luck, non sense. I don't believe and no one should. You know that the mind is soooooo powerful that if you believe in something truly it will happen, like the black cat. I mean I know someone who every time a black cat crosses in front of that person they always panics and unfortunately they always have bad luck that day because they truly believe in that. I also think that is a bad thing since is just hurting you.

I'm not Hispanic, but I have a lot of friends who are and most of them are pretty much like me. I have seen about as many Anglos as Hispanics who do the fancy magic stuff that you describe.
Frankly, I think it is a bit silly for an adult to spend good money on such things, but they do have the right to do so if it's their money.

Those are things that have come all over from ancient times, gipsy people and old tribes in America used to do that stuff, which were actually part of their own culture and still remain on some places, nowadays some people use it just to get money (objects and "rituals" that have to be paid) by others.
Stupid practices like you mentioned may be just ignorance, and like every market it has its costumers (despered people trying to solve things easily).

Why Hispanics? A great number of people believe this. Stupid? You need to get out...see the world....and meet more people. Or read a book. You need to expand your mind. You're being judgemental and prejudiced.

the likely explanation for questioning somebody else is stupid, purely via fact they do no longer accept as true with you, is which you're ignorant of their actual ideals. purely verify out the stupid issues creationists write approximately evolution in this talk board. Now, a number of my fellow believers could relatively BE stupid, the two willfully (like those creationists) or otherwise. yet once you anticipate that a individual who disagrees with you is unavoidably stupid, you're making the single assumption likely to maintain YOU stupid: which you recognize each and every thing and have no longer something extra to income. i do no longer write off atheists as stupid. I purely disagree with them. actually, I study the a number of books they write, via fact i'm interested in what they must say, and the a number of factors they develop might income a great form of Christians in the event that they paid interest. i'm arranged to safeguard the concept that atheism is purely as intellectually valid as Christianity. yet atheists who think of Christianity is stupid are purely as undesirable as Christians who think of atheism is stupid, and for a similar reason: they're imagining that the area they accept as true with is straight away awesome. BTW, i'm uncertain what you have have been given contributing to that concept that Christianity is "in straightforward terms a mash-up of pagan religions." there are multiple pagan factors that have prompted Christian prepare and Christian custom. yet a great form of the belongings you will discover by Googling is nonsense, too. (case in point, the type of Horus mythology that resembles Christianity is undocumented till a number of centuries after Christianity grew to alter into known in Egypt, and we've stable data that before varieties have none of those similarities.) The concept that what you come across on the internet is genuine is a much extra silly theory than something in Christianity. The presence of those searching for in reality infinitely to be favorite to the presence of people who think of they’ve got here across it. -- Terry Pratchett, "great Regiment"

White people also use phrases to get people to marry them, be embarrassed, run away, etc.
I know a white girl that got her boyfriend to marry her by whispering a phrase in his ears.
Let me see... what was the phrase she used.... oh yes... She said, "I'm pregnant!"
