vertical top to bottom just left of center Pink Line the size of thread in my Gateway LCD Monitor Model 2100 FPD2185W it never changed shows through everything tried different monitor and settings not on other monitor. can i fix or is it crap

Each row and column of pixels has a line driver circuit attached to it that is used to set each pixel's output. It sounds like you have a defective driver chip or a defective connection.

You can not really fix this, so the machine is toast, sorry. Hopefully it is under warranty, if not please dispose of the old in an environmentally friendly way. The liquid crystal and the mercury in the back lights are environmental hazards.

Sounds like it is in the monitor, possibly a set of dead or bad pixels, or in other words you need a new one.
