Usually when you get to the point where you feel like you're really thirsty, you're already on your way to dehydration. If you're drinking plenty of water on a daily basis and are continuing to have problems, the previous answer from Missy G is probably the next best step. You need to see a Doctor who will prescribe a blood - glucose tolerance test to determine how well your body metabolizes sugars...this is a basic test for hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, or diabetes.
Don't freak out...just see your Dr. and do the tests. You may have to change your diet or you may be told just to stop complaining about having to drink water all the time and have another glass but it is much better to know for sure.
Be well!

If you get dehydrated, you can suffer from headaches, blurred vision, cramps, disorentation.
You need to drink at least 2.5-3 litres of water a day, more if it's hot or you're sweating a lot or are physically active. Once you start drinking that much, you'll be peeing more than normal for about three days, then your body will get used to it and it'll taper off.
If you feel like you need more water, you probably do.

do you drink a lot of coffee or other caffeine drinks? that is what got me really dehydrated last week. I was drinking sodas and about 4 cups of coffee a day and not drinking water. now i've cut back to one cup of coffee or tea a day and about three or four bottles of water a day. I feel a lot better. once you get dehydrated really bad, i think it takes a few days before your system is really back in sync. it's been a week and I'm still not quite right.

Diabetes or high blood sugar cause these symptoms. You always feel thirsty and urinate alot. Go see the doctor and have some bloodwork done to check for diabetes and/or rule out what's going on.

You don't mention that a health care professional has been involved. If you haven't seen a doctor please do. The symptoms you describe are called polydypsia (drinking a lot) and polyuria (peeing a lot) and they are classic for diabetes.
