My yard has a decent amount of dog poop scattered around it. I have a new lawn mowing service coming and was wondering if they will become angry that there is dog poop around my lawn. Should I try to clean it up first?

It depends if they are going to be on ride-on mowers or not, that way they don't have to worry about stepping in it. If you do want to clean it up, a simple shovel works for getting it and it's easy to toss where ever you want. I've never heard of worker's asking to have it cleaned up, but all you need is a shovel.

Allright, I'm gonna dissent from the others ... dog poop is actually pretty good fertilizer! (OK, look at my profile ... I know more about dogs than I do about lawns) ... I feed my dogs a good food (Canidae) and their poops aren't too much of a problem ... sorry if this is too descriptive!

It would be courteous if you would pick up the dog-poo before your landscapers arrive, sure. I mean, if you have a lawn-service, you'd put your kids' toys away before they got there, right? Same goes for the dogs. (And whatever they leave behind!)

I don't have a lawn-service, so what my dogs do outside either stays or goes, depending on how I handle it. I tend to just leave it there. Sure, I pick up sometimes, but I'm not neurotic about it. Sorry if that sounds bad, but, honestly you should see the grass out back. I should contact the local golf-courses, I think ... my greens are sooooo greeeeeeeen!

Guess what I'm saying here is that you'll never have both a perfect yard and a house/yard with dogs. It's a trade-off. I'll take the dogs for now. If ya got dogs, ya got poop ... (smile! you knew that!)

Scoop the poop, you just hired a lawn mowing service, not a poop cleaner upper.

We scoop our dog poop when we know small kids are coming to visit and play outdoors, so we would do the same if we ever hired someone to cut the grass.

I'd mention that it had been done so maybe next visit, you'll get a small discount!

as somebody who mows lawns i can tell you that it is very aggravating when there is dog poop all over the place. Once it gets on the tires of the mower you're stuck smelling it for the rest of the day. Its pure laziness not to pick up after you dog. You should pick up the dog poop before they come to mow.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU8VL

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Do you brush your teeth before going to the dentist? Do you wash your truck before having the tires rotated/balanced? Do you pick up dirty laundry/toys/clutter before the housekeeper comes over? Seems like a common courtesy to extend along those same lines for the landscaper. If you have too much "oopsies" saturation then you might need a bigger area for the dog by the way or just to keep up with it. If I were the maintenance guy, I would be looking to replace your job with an "oopsies" free lawn or asking you to pay extra for the trouble.
There is also the issue of spreading parasites/disease between dog owners if everyone expected the maintenance man to mow over it with their tires before going to the next job. Do you want him to bring "oopsies" tracks in his tires from a dozen other dog owners to your lawn? If not, don't expect him to pass it on to others from yours or need to clean his equipment after doing your lawn alone.

Yes; most places will refuse to deal with a lawn that is covered in feces. Who could blame them?
