As I look at my list of friends on 360 and Mash, I see a grand total 5 people that I've met in person. 1 of them is my wife and the other 4 are people I know from high school. The rest of them are people who I've either met on Answers or 360.
They are friends because I find them funny or interesting or they saw something in my. Like any circle of friends, I'm closer to some then others. There are some that I'm sure would be very good friends if we met off line, but I've found that online friends sometimes come and go like the tide.
so are they "real" friends? They seem like really good people, so I guess the answer is "so far, yes".

YES that is definitely cheating. That's what cheating is. It is fooling around with someone else. If you're getting these so-called benefits, you're not being true to your boyfriend. Word of advice, if you can't tell your boyfriend what you're doing... don't do it! If you break up with your boyfriend (which you probably should do if you like another guy...) you can fool around with this "friend." But honestly, if a guy just wants "benefits" and not a real relationship, stay away!

I have one close one(my lady by the lake) and many I consider friends, though we don't really converse much other than Q&A. There's a few I would love to meet in real life, either because of their humor or intelligence. You can hide just about everything on here except your heart and brain! peace

Some of the people I meet with here nearly everyday are friends, yes. It's strange to realize how close you can become to others through just conversation. It's been a revelation to me to find a camaraderie here. I enjoy it very much.

♥ Some of them I absolutely do consider "real" friends. "Real" friends to me doesnt have to meet a physical face to face relationship... it can mean someone you simply only know online or over the phone. Someone you care about & enjoy talking to, etc. :-)

Sort of.. But it is always hard to tell if they are truthful like some ppl who lie left and right but you'll know who you are and I hope you think twice about things
Oh but I do have one freidn I know in person and another i met (Knit Twit)
So kinda yeah LOL But it would be nice to SAFELY meet someone but hey that will never happen!!!!!!!!!
