Please, we all know that the playoffs are a new thing to most of you, many having just crawled out of the gutter in 2004. But theres these few simple facts I must remind you all of before you go yammerin about how the yankees "suck"
World Series titles 26
AL Pennants 39
East Division titles 15
Wild card berths 3
As for the Red sux fans, I know you're all new to this sport we call baseball, but please....read these statistics I have given you and compare to some other teams before you determine who "sucks". I know a certain team who, as you say, "sucked" for 86 years. Any guesses on who?
Anyways, you can all have a good cry now that I have given it to you in black and white. Here's a tissue. And dont stay up too late as its probablly past your bedtime

yes im a pantera fan..CFH!!!!!!
and no yankee hater will ever get respect when talkin baseball. They should spend less time worrying about the Yankees, and more time trying to understand how the game is played. They are definately amusing though

lol always comes down to payroll right? You know how many fans go to Yankee stadium each year?? More fans = more money. More money = more options for better players. Stop whining already
And so what? the indians kicked our asses tonight. They played good and deserved the win

Dr. Phil here.
We obviously have a good loyal fan here - who is grieving over the loss that his team sustained this evening.
And to make it worse - the rival nemesis of his beloved team, performed quite well on their first outing of these playoffs.
So this loyal fan feels that he needs to validate the worthiness of his team - by insulting the fans of his rival nemesis - and quoting past accomplishments of his own great team.
Unfortunately, these past accomplishments, although quite historic in nature - will do nothing to erase the loss that this fan is so painfully enduring.
So - please join us for tomorrows show, when we discuss - - "sticks and stones will break your bones" and "how yesterdays news, has no relevance to the present".

It's inevitable that when a star player leaves a team, it's fans are going to try to belittle him. And most of those Mets haters are probably angry Red Sox fans. Also I hate to burst your bubble, but despite getting Bay, it would be a long shot if the Mets somehow got to the World Series. The pitching staff has only one consistent starter, Johan Santana, and the rest of the lineup is really lackluster. No one knows how Beltran, Delgado, and Reyes will come back from injury. And even with all of those players healthy and Bay the rest of the Mets lineup is unimpressive. One bright spot is that the Mets will have a winning record and maybe make a run for the wildcard if everything goes in their favor. Getting Bay, while not the best move the Mets could have made, is certainly an improvement, and shows that management is at least trying to put together a good team on the field, instead of just sitting back and hoping that the returning players will guide the Mets back to the playoffs.

That is the past.
The Yankees will not win again until they get rid of A-Rod. He does nothing in the post season and teams usually do better when he is gone. The Red Sox would never sign this sissy ball slapping player for the amount he makes (04 playoffs).
It is good for baseball to have the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry but to be honest, I think they are good friends off the field.
If it weren't for this rivalry where would baseball be????
Enjoy the jabs back and fourth and remember that without the 2 teams there would be no luxary tax money to keep other teams in the league!!!!!!!!
The Yankees will have to wait to win another WS but it could be the year for the Red Sox to win again...
Cherish the moment.

I don't want to sound mean, but what are you driving at?
It's playoff time dude! Enjoy the playoffs. We have some
pretty good teams in the playoffs, and It's been great so
far. I'm a Cubs fan, and even though It looks bad for the
Cubbies, I'm still gratefull that they made the post season.
I learned a long time ago that It's the love of the game that
makes me go see major league baseball games.
This type of attitude, or should I say mentality, just shows me
how inmature you are as a person.............................

the red sox fans are aware of the hugh gap in titles between the 2 teams, and they also know that the sox will never, ever catch up to the yankees in titles. those fans had to wait 86 years for a world series title, 86 years, thats a long time, so they just got frustrated and jealous of the success the Yankees have had, its a just human reaction to the team's years of pathetic ownership and management.

Tho not a Yankee hater, nor Red Sox fan, i do believe that you're living in the past way too much.
There are new owners of teams that believe in winning contrary to Mr. Steinbrenner's way of thinking.
It is a new Century.

1- Yankers spent 122,000,000 more on payroll then Cleveland.
2- Cleveland won more games in a tougher division. (Bal. and TB dint even try)
3- We Kicked your butt in game 1 and you think your entitled. lol
4- Considering your a state that elects share the wealth democrats year after year. Support of your baseball baseball team makes you a bunch of elitist hypocrites. and everyone loves to see those go down lol

lol, who is the only team in all of sports history to give up a 3-0 series lead? Guess what the law of averages says about the Yankees past.......it says that you and your children are in for a long long streak of being irrelevant, have fun.
