What is the setting (time and place) of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? I have a pretty accurate depiction of the setting place-wise but what is the time it is in? Ex: Modern times, Medieval times, 1980's, etc...

Thanks in advance.

Harry was born on July 31st, 1980, which places his 5th year of school from September 1st 1995 to June 1996. The years are all calculated off of Nearly Headless Nick's death day ceremony as Rowling didn't have much use for exact years. Instead, she gave detailed descriptions to clearly show that she was placing her tale firmly in modern times, such as mentioning all the latest electronics that Dudley owned (including a video game player that hadn't technically been released, yet, if you want to be picky about the dates).

the bigger the greater suitable and the greater journey. i can not have self assurance the series ended! i do no longer care if it is particularly much been 2 years for the reason that Deathly Hallows i want to bypass back to Sorcer's Stone and study it for the 1st time returned! OOTP is the biggest for the reason that's how JKR needed it to be, it is that straightforward. Lol, i'm easily listening to it on tape now, i'm on the area the place they meet Grawppy!!! My favourite great pondering he's the only one we easily meet. heavily nonetheless, I desire it replaced into nonetheless happening. i understand this is of their international yet I desire JKR could write it down for the rest human beings who can in basic terms think of what's happening while she easily knows, a minimum of, she knows what they tell her.
