Where else would they come from? Many cultures believe that Heaven and Hell exist within your own heart; your own infinite consciousness. I, too, believe that... And I've experienced both.

The term 'Inner Demons' comes form an Ancient Idea that we are host to demons. In many ancient faiths there was a beleif that all sorts of things had spirits or demons. This included ourselves. When we ingested food we took in these spirits. This thinking led to the idea that spiritual entities lived within us who also inspired emotion in us. Like Peace, humility or fear. Mind you these same beleifs led to the later concept of possession.

It is not from the Bible nor any other book of any value. Demons can afflict a person per the Bible, because they are allowed to do such things by God.

Inner can imply that there are no Christian demons afflicting someone. That the person is creating their own Demons within themselves.
