"i was offered a position with best buy a fewyears ago, i never did accept the position...but during the 2nd interview they really focused on my sales skills, and had me do some role-playing exercises that were evaluating my sales techniques...so you may want to brush up and be prepared to be put on the spot..."

That was an answer on "2nd interview with best buy.. what to expect" Well.. i actaully applied in the geek squad area.. but i'm sure it's goin to be the same thing!

Anyways.. I really would like some help with this.. i'm not much a talker and i KNOW i'm gonna have to be.. i can talk but i'm just soft spoken (very quiet and shy talking) and i know thats a problem i'm gonna have to work on!! anyways.. i was just wondering if anyone could give me tips on how to sell a product.. or what they will ask me (example "what would you do if the costumer say no he doesn't want the product"(are they gonna ask me stuff like that))

Also what are some good questions to ask..

Usually you don't get hired unless your interview is with the general manager. And I'm just being honest from my experience in the hiring division of Best Buy, you need to have energy and be outgoing in order for you to get hired. If you're just a quiet kid sitting there and only answering questions then you won't be hired.

As far as for selling you need to ask "Who will be using this" "What will they be using it for" and then depending on the product go into their history with using that type of product and things like that.

The Geek Squad? You have got to be joking? A bunch of kids, barely making what McDonald's pays. Whose primary job is to sell you the highest mark-up Anti-Virus or Anti-spyware that Best Buy happens to be pushing this week. No thanks.

"Zenitram asks:
"I am a lead technician at a company that repairs computers for various vendors. Many of our systems are from Best Buy's Geek Squad. Based on the systems Geek Squad sends us, it makes me wonder what, if anything, do they actually do? We get systems that have issues that we simply shouldn't have to work on, like: installing device drivers, OS reloads, and reseting CRUs (Customer Removable Units). Additionally, we get systems that are misdiagnosed such as: bad hard drive when a system has faulty RAM; no POST when it simply won't boot into Windows; or no boot when it won't power on at all. So, what is the scope of technical repair that Geek Squad techs do?"

i am shy too and its hard but if ur friendly the customer will be friendly back. What u want to do is think about what they want not trying to force them into buying something more expensive. show kindness and true caring. act like u really want to hear how their old tv broke even if u have to fake it. U fake it to make it. Stay positive youll do great! good luck! :D

you want a tough-and-quickly checklist after which you would be able to commerce one concern for yet another--purchase another bread if rye isn't on sale etc. yet to your guy or woman sanity, you could desire to appreciate how lots you could desire to spend and prioritize the checklist. this implies in no way determining to purchase something only because of fact it is on sale until it is being substituted for something else. we are no longer speaking dedication here, we are speaking funds. Even a millionaire could would desire to make priorities, manage limits of what he necessary for intake, limits of area, limits of time, the would desire to keep or deliver somebody to do it, etc.

Best Buy won't hire you unless you can lie well. You can't be too intelligent either.
