Why is there so much hatred and prejudice towards iranians in this day and age?

Because some people are such miserable creatures who are so selfish and self-righteous, they can't see themsleves for what they are; they are in a viscious cycle of requiring a feeling of superiority over people because they don't know how to communicate, becuase they are selfish and self centered and anti-social.

They don't care about other people or other people's feelings. Their use for other people is self gratification; they only care about feeling superior over other people. They use Iranians; if they met an Iranian, they would wan't to argue with one, or make them admit their regime sucks or make them do something, to make them perform, not to talk to one on the level, not because they don't care about Iranians, but because they don't care about people entirely. People are just something they use to get self gratification. They are pathological, and incapable of joy and only by the grace of god do these people forge friendships (with other jerks).

Because they don't care for people who they can't use, or who don't speak their language, or watch the same shows, or are too fat, or too ugly, or don't make them feel superior.

Because they are snobs and haters and their jealous of Iranians. Their jealous they can't make friends from their own community, and they can't stand to see Iranians integrate so well because they are muslim, and they want everyone to hate muslims because they are self righteous jerks.

There is hatred and prejudice toward ANY ethnic group. Towards Iranians in general, I don't believe there is a lot of it in the U.S.


Many Americans don't think too highly of Iran's president or the ruling theocracy class (something Americans abhor - the Constitution prohibits it) - but educated Americans have a positive view of the Persian people and their extremely rich cultural heritage.

Many foreigners don't think too highly of the American president. Unfortunately, many foreigners don't like Americans in general - I think it's primarily jealously over the great success America has had.

The difference between the two countries is that Americans are free to openly criticize their political leaders without being put in prison, and Iranians are not.

Hmm, an odd sort of answers if you ask me.

Anyways, the reason I really have any distaste for iranians would be their unique sense of hypo-criticism. What I mean is, they (iranian middle class) support the religious extremists led by ayatollah khomieni who bring death and terror as well as accuse the developed middle-eastern nations as being "western pigs" when in fact iran has tons of it's own shopping malls and fast food resteraunts which are the main blame for western slander in the middle-east. So basically Mr. mahmoud and his buddy ayatollah; go around and talk about how bad western ideals are and how they ruin muslim society; while turning around and popping in at the local bloomingdale's and getting a quick bite at the taj mcdonalds. I find it very annoying.

Almost forgot, if any of you have seen Frank Miller's 300, there was so much tension and slander produced by the iranian media and people since it depicts "the west" or greece, prevailing in an almost suicidal battle and painting the persians apparently as "weak". Boy, If only the germans complained about every WW2 movie that was made about nazis or the countless playstation games. :)

I actual have in no way observed all people accusing a pop action picture star of being intersex. that is ridiculous if it takes place. comparable as with being gay or transgendered, a guy or woman would not decide on how he's born. I actual have heard some human beings point out that Jamie Lee Curtiss, to illustrate, became hermaphroditic, even though it wasn't an accusation. It became greater like a stupid, gossipy supposition. If she became, so what? She's nevertheless a extraordinarily, humorous, gifted actress. Why would desire to we care approximately what form of genitalia she has?

From my perspective, I personally don't know of anyone who is 'afraid of Iranians.' However, I might become radically 'afraid' should the 'leaders' of Iran yet again take on an aggressive anti West stance.

I've known a number of Iranians from the time of the last Shah, and generally speaking, they were each very nice people, very generous as human beings.

I'd hate to think of them being otherwise.

Blame it on that nutter of a President of theirs.If he had his way he would attack Israel and try to destroy them.Now as Israel has Nukes,what happens next.Correct,the whole Middle East would be at war and the backlash on the West doesn't bear thinking about.Desert Storm,why do you think the SAS went into Iraq to get the Scuds?They were frightened of any Scuds landing on Tel Aviv and the Israelis going Nuclear,and they would no doubt about it.What would they have to lose?
