Hello:

I believe that the best book for your project will be To Kill a Mockingbird. Harper Lee's writing style and the protagonists in the book will give you a lot of material for your project, plus you would really enjoy the book. If you need help with your research, you can check Wikipidia.

Animal farm is weird but short and interesting. A tale of two cities is good if you like to read. I would read Jane Eyre or To Kill a Mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird, hands down. I've read all but A Tale of Two Cities.

I haven't read all of them, but To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite choice. It is a classic with a touching story, and is very readable. Animal Farm is good if you like satire. Jane Eyre is also amazing, but if you can relate more to 20th century American culture, you would like Mockingbird. A Tale of Two Cities is probably one of the harder ones to get through.

I read
-Animal Farm: Its cute and short but the ending is really sad.
-Lord of Flies: makes you really mad at people's behavior, but quite interesting.
-To kill a mockingbird: is the best book i read during my freshman year.

In my personal opintion I would reccommend Jane Eyre. I have about 5 copies of it and I read it about once a year. It has a powerful storyline, suprise twists, and strong unusual characters. It is a slightly difficult book for a freshman but if you are up for a challenge....go for it!!!! ps I'm 20
