country? How can you tell if a tobacco product originated in the U.S. or somewhere else? If the tobacco product sold in the U.S. is grown here, is it manufactured out of our country or are there mandates that require they grow, manufacture etc. in the same country? If grown here and then manufactured elsewhere, how is the crop shipped to other locations? Thanks.

tobacco is grown in the US.
In some areas they still close the schools so the kids can help with the harvest
cigarettes are produced in the US in places like Raleigh Durham Winston Salem (names of cities)
In fact there is no law against smoking in the capitol building in Raleigh North Carolina and several of the past governors were former tobacco executives
When you drive through tobacco growing area the barns are painted black they really stand out these are where the tobacco is dried.
I believe they put 3 or 4 tobacco leaves on each stick then hang the sticks in the black barns to dry.
You can only grow tobacco if you own Tobacco shares these may be more valuable than the property the tobacco is grown on
