How about giving medals to the 7th, 8th and 9th places? (ie - de-emphasize winning and emphasize participation and healthy lifestyles) Until the general public gets over its obsession with winning and politicians using the olympics as an egotistical and ideological platform then the trained monkeys (I mean athletes) will continue to follow suit.

If we 'give em all 'roids' then we may as well just have cyborgs compete (which isn't far off, trust me). There is no point in resisting, you WILL be assimilated.

I know it sounds kinda kooky but the way its going now, we should be giving medals to the pharmacists and crooked doctors.

No, yet they'd desire to ban athletes from activities the 1st time they are caught dishonest, now they provide them a 2 12 months ban and enable them to compete. in the event that they banned them for lifestyles on the 1st failure they might motivate human beings to no longer cheat, now they know they have a 2d probability, and that they nevertheless have an income whether they have not drugged interior the final 2 years.
