It's fun and entertaining here. You get answers from experts and those who totally know nothing of Basketball. As in any category here in Yahoo answers (well the categories I visit to say the least), there is what you call fanatics and haters.
But the great thing is we people here do it based on facts and stats. So normally you get tons of stats put on your face. Just don't mind having arguments with other users because arguments usually is for the good and getting knowledge is what's best on this side of Yahoo answers.

Somewhat...The Basketball section isn't so good, because of people like "Alpha Wolf"....But, people like him aside, It's an ok place...(I'm not sure if alpha still gets on, though...I havn't seen him for a while) Sometimes on this area people will try to prove the most ridiculous things, or say something that's just plain stupid. Ignore them. When used correctly Y A! can be a great place to answer, and recieve answers on basketball related questions. However....You do have losers, as you do anywhere.

Some people are stupid. They make stupid trades using ESPN trade machine. They can't even spell well. I remember someone spell Lebron's name as La Bron. They also usually misspell Dirk Nowitzki's name.
There are also the smart people. Who make good answers. Good opinions about trades and other stuff.
You decide based from what I said.

For the most part, no. You have to wade through a lot of crap just to find a good question. Then you have to wade through the crap answers to find logical and well-thought out answers.
However, when the really good question(s) get asked --they're very thought provoking.

No...the majority of fans on here have little, if any basketball intelligence. They get their knowledge from ESPN, if that gives you any idea.
"Alpha Wolf" is one of the reasons I'm still on here.....he loves to rattle these moron's cages, and they fall for it everytime. It's hilarious!!

It's entertaining and some people are, but you get alot of the hardcore fans who wont listen to a good argument and will just type in WE RULE!! over and over. Try Rootzoo.com, it's more of what you're looking for.
