Aurelia- no sorry i do not like it it reminds me of a part of the female anatomy and the kid would be teased because of it!!
Matilda- i think is cute i like it and the nicknames of Mattie or Maddie or as you said a middle name like jane, jasmine, jennifer whatever and the nickname M.J.
Phoebe-is cute but it really does not need a nick name the name is fine as it is!
Olive- no ido not like it sorry ,i also do not like Olivia it is too common and dull in my opinion!
good luck!

Aurelia - one of my favorites! Feminine and spunky, and I love how it manages to fit in with more popular/familiar names, like Amelia, without being overly common itself. Wonderful. ;)
Matilda - another *love.* ;) A classic that manages to be both beautiful on a woman and adorable on a child. And although you wouldn't use them, I adore the myriad of nickname options here -- Millie, Molly, Tilda, Tilly, etc.
Phoebe - I do like Phoebe quite a bit, but personally prefer Daphne, Penelope, Calliope and Hermione, as far as names with similar sounds and origins go. Phoebe just seems a bit more expected than the above options, know what I mean?
Olive - I like it, and much prefer it to Olivia's popularity, but that may be the very reason I'd lean more toward the others here. Because you're right ... many will simply glance over this and assume it Olivia, so it would still SEEM a bit more common a choice than the rest.
You have some great names here, by the way! ;)

Kool names! I like Aurelia, by far; after that, Matilda. Olive would be cool if you knew the girl was going to be absolutely stunning in looks, but otherwise the name may feel like an albatross around her neck. Phoebe is sounds a bit prissy. Aurelia, conjures up the idea of golden and light and of course, beauty-whether physical or mental.

It's difficult to know which is best. Ultimately what it comes down to is your preferences. However, in another context, your child will have to live with the name you choose. It is hard to know what the culture will be 10, 20 or 30 years down the road. To illustrate, Matilda to me reminds me of the hag Matilda from days of old. When your child is 15, who's gonna remember that Matilda cartoon ? It isn't the greatest idea to name your child after someone on TV as fads (and TV shows) come and go. When Gunsmoke was popular, Hoss might have been popular as a masculine name. Who the heck remembers Hoss now ? Olive conjures up images of Olive Oyl from the old Popeye cartoons. Phoebe is nice, as is the nickname Pheebs, but again, what is popular now may seem dated during their school years. That is where the 'dealing' with a 'different' name comes in...when they're in school. It just adds a whole nother stress to kids. Aurelia is probably the most forward-thinking name (don't know alot of Aurelia's) and it's pretty-sounding as well. Again, it's what YOU like. But remember, while you may give your child their name, it is the child who must live with it for the rest of their life.

I love Matilda! So much better than Madison, This is going to sound bad, but my aunt and uncle have a dog named Matilda, they call her Tilda. I love it for a little girl even more, though,
Olive is cute, but could you imagine it on a fourty year old woman? Olivia sounds more professional, but she could stilll be able to go by Olive. I loved LMS! So funny!
Phoebe is okay, but it reminds me of the girl off of that kids show, "Hey Arnold".
Aurelia is okay, I prefer Aurora, you could call her Rory. How cute!!

Aurelia is pretty but I knew a girl in high school who had that name and she was trashy. Matilda is a bit old school for me, Phoebe is too trendy but I love Olive!

I like Phoebe best, it is not too common and it’s a pretty name.
Aurelia sounds too complicated
Matilda sounds like an older woman’s name.
Olive reminds me of Olive Oil or Olivia which is so popular right now.

I like Olive the best. It's pretty, but still professional, and not very commmon. Phoebe is also nice. Matilda sounds like an old woman to me, and I'm not even sure how to pronounce Aurelia. Go with Olive! :)

Nolie, Gemma, and Isabella (or just Bella). Gabriel would be difficult to live with, I know, I am a woman with a boy's name and I was ridiculed all my childhood. I have a daughter named Cassie (not Cassandra or Cassidy). Name them what you want them to be called all the time.
