Was hit by vertigo grabed onto nearest wall, wall turned out to be a door which closed on my hand.
Does it look broken to you?
Showing my mom when she gets home.
Thanks

Definitely looks broken! Is the spot of the swelling and bruising the exact location of the impact? If no, you can nearly be guaranteed of a fracture: the area of impact won't always be the spot of the fracture, but the area where it swells will be!
Yes, you should go to the doctor, but just so you know there often isn't much they can do besides splint it up and let it heal. Depending on how much the broken bones "shift", though, they can pin the bones together to minimize any deformities.

It needs an xray. In the meantime to keep it RICEd is the best thing>>>Rest, ICE, Compressed in a bandage of some kind ( maybe an ace), and Elevate it above your heart. You might take something for pain like Ibuprofen or Tylenol, but check with your mom first, OK?

Looks more bruised. Can you move your fingers, is there any numbness? Used to be an old wives tale that said if it swells right away it is more than likely sprained, if it takes time to swell it is broken. I have had both happen, show your mom

well you can't tell by looking really because your bruising could be from the impact. Can you move your fingers/wrist/ect? If not it's broken! If so it maybe just a sprang.

Good idea to show it to your mom. It looks very sore. Make sure to keep a cool rag on it until she gets home. Only X-rays will tell you if it is broken. Hang in there.

Go to the emergency ASAP! I'm pretty sure you didn't broke it is just a shattered bone but not broken but get some help soon!

is possibly fractured but could just be a bad sprain
ask your mum to take to e.r. to get x-ray
in mean time place hand in cold water or wrap with a wet cold towel to ease pain and bring out bruises

Go get it looked, could just be a bad bruise or have fluid in it.

Put your hair in a bun. And smile. Don't wear dark colors; wear light colors. Like yellow and pink.
