Revolts (real ones, and only the successful ones) change governments. EDSA 1 ousted the Marcoses. Yet, the Estrada version of EDSA did not force GMA out.

Early in our history, there were several revolts against Spain. They are significant in the sense that they were, while in pockets, providing impetus for bigger revolts. And sparked nationalistic fervor.

Depending on the cause. If the cause is for all the Filipino people, then it is very significant. If it only for a few elite and not for the masses, then forget it. These few elite people are just using us. Why? Because most of them are in the government service.
