Agua [water]: beberlo [masculine, drink it]. Agua is an exception to the rule that words ending in "a" are feminine!

mame_666 have been given it splendid, inspite of the shown fact that i will splendid a splash mistake: we don't continually use "el" for each and all the femenine nouns which initiate with an "a" (la aplicación, la amiga...) It in basic terms occurs if the noun starts off with "a tónica", i.e, the phonetic rigidity is interior the 1st "a". Examples: el águila, el agua, el alma. you will discover that whether the notice beguins with "ha" (el hambre, el hacha) interior the plural, this does not take place anymore (las aguas, las almas, las hachas)
