the cube has 6 surfaces
Each would be 24/6 = 4 square units

Therefore each side will be 2 x 2

Therefore the volume is 2 x 2 x 2 = 8 cubic units

Remember that the formula for surface area of a cube is:
A=6*s^2; that is 6 * the area of each side. And the volume is:
V=s^3; that the length of a side raised to the 3rd power.

So we solve the area for s:
square root (A/6) = s
and replace that for the s in the volume formula:
V = (A/6)^3/2

Now, you can put in 24 for A
V = (24/6)^3/2
= 4^3/2
= 2^3
=8 cubic units.

a cube has 6 sides so the area of 1 side is:

24/6 = 4

so x^2 = 4

x = 2 which is the length

volume = x^3

2^3 = 8 units^3

If quantity is 512 mm^3 Then section = the cube root of this or 8 mm the recent part length could be seventy 5% of 8 or 6 mm 6^3 = 216 mm^3 the quantity of the recent smaller cube To get the respond straight away from the quantity : comprehend that a 25% relief is seventy 5% ultimate you're able to cube 3/4 to get 27/sixty 4, and take this circumstances 512 27/sixty 4 x 512/a million This reduces to 27 x 8 that's 216 mm^3

The area of a side is s^2. The total area is 6*s^2

6*s^2 = 24
s^2 = 4
s = 2

Therefore, volume, which is s^3, equals 2^3 = 8

Volume of a cube = side^3
SA = 24 squared
since SA of a cube is a square = s^2,
s= square root of 24 = 4.9
then, volume of the cube = 4.9^3
= 117.58 cube

Cube is exactly what is saids
Volume = s^3
If surface area is squared = 24^2 = 576

Volume of a cube is a cubic = 24^3 = 13824

If the surface area is 24² = 576 then the area of one face is
576/6 = 96 and √96 = 9.797979..... and the volume is
9.797979....^3 = 940.6040612.....

Doug
EDIT: Did you mean the total area was 24² or 24 square units?

you've given yourself the answer practically, 24 squared is 24x24 = 576

The get it cubed it to the 3rd power so...
24x24x24 = 13824 OR it could be stated as simply 24^3

2007-10-04 14:59:58 · answer #9 · answered by donnytc7 1 · 0 1

24 * 24 = 576
576 / 6 = 96
96 * 96 * 96 = 884736
