You know when you know. If you're not sure....you're not ready. It doesn't mean you won't look back and think of even more wasted years. But if you don't know for sure.....you can't do it now anyway. If you want to keep trying (and so does he) get counseling....see a minister.....try a different approach. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Obviously, what you both have been doing is not working. Get help and a new plan and prospective. Then it won't feel like wasted time.

When you just don't wanna be home or around the other person anymore.. Everything they do, even little annoyances bug you and you feel no real emotions any more, except maybe irked and disgusted with them. You dream of being free and being happy someplace else. It's just like you're there, he's there, but you're both nowhere anymore. Time is precious, and everyday you feel it was a day wasted, is one less day in your life to be happy. Maybe it's time?

When you start feeling like it is a one way street and the other person no longer compromises, or makes you feel as though you matter the most in their life. Carpe Diem as there are too many others in the world to enjoy your time with, than to be stuck with someone who treats you like second rate.

How do you know when too much is too much to deal with? Uhhhhh......like after the 3rd year and you're STILL not engaged to be married! DUH! Then again, based on the responses to the questions I have asked as of late, marriage means nothing, commitments mean nothing, and everybody should be allowed to do whatever they want without any thought about how their actions affect the one's who love them. So don't listen to me! Just do what you want, whenever you want, with whoever you want. I'm sure there will be people out there to support you.

Sounds like you are wasting your time now so get out and find someone that won't waste your time.

Brandy,
Get out now!
When you find true love you will hate yourself for settling for anything less! I tried for 30 years to make my wife happy and it recently ended badly. Run while you can still run. Good luck!

I knew it was over when I didn't care anymore. The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. When it reaches that point, it's time to leave.
