Yesterday a group of vice lords (gang) got together behind my school. Now today we're just finding out that we could'nt wear red or black anymore. No ONE!!!! RED AND BLACK CAN NO LONGER BE WORN EVER IN OUR SCHOOL Again. Our colors are Red, White, and Blue our mascot is an eagle. The cheerleader outfits are red and blue. OMG. What are they gonna do about the basketball jerseys?? and Football. And Navy Blue the only thing we can wear navy blue is our uniform pants. Its was 7th-12th graders! Im in between those grades. Anyway My Question Is Do you Think This is fair to other people? Who arent in gangs??

Do any teachers know? or adults know? if they dont, tell them about whats happening and tell them to call the police or something. This is a free country we all have rights, its in the Decleration of Independence and no one can take your rights away! Do something about it!!

Well, yes and no. Yes, it is fair because schools absolutely do not want to have gangs or gang violence associated during school on or campus. If they see you wear those colors, they are going to think you are with that gang. Wearing the colors can also cause you harm, because the rival gang will try in any way to hurt you. No, it is not fair because red is one of your school colors. How are you going to wear your school color if it's banned? That's showing that you're not patriotic towards your school, and even your country because red, white, and blue are our nation's colors. Express this towards your school's principal and see what he/she thinks.

yeah that does suck. when i was in high school they did the same thing to us. We wern't allowed to wear black, but since EVERYONE wears black, they didn't really penalize us when we were caught wearing it. We also couldnt wear that iron cross symbol, wear hats, girls couldnt have there stomach showing, and guys couldn't have there pants down bellow there butts. But most people got out of getting in trouble because they made friends with the teachers that were suppose to have reported them. maybe u should do that. But im sry. i have been there though...and i live in southern california by the way. be strong...you'll get through it :-p

This is absolutely stupid and you need to tell your principal so. That gang will just go and change their gang colours!!! Is the school stupid? COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. Start an ethical, well planned out protest. Be peaceful and intelligent about it. Write out the reasons this approach is too over the top and won't fix the ultimate problem.

What I would like to do is let the cops do their job the way they did when I was young. The punks wouldn`t be so tough after a beatdown with the Billy Club. OMG, I forgot, that`s not being nice.

yes, its actually for your safety.
if you wear a certain color (gang related), you can end up getting jumped, raped, or stabbed etc. i know it sucks, but its just the way it is, our world is sick and twisted. If you really want to show your school pride form a request with the principal about letting the grades wear the colors on their game days( ex: freshmans on thursday)

umm and a lot of people arent in gangs! gangs are bad, they kill inoscent people, and if ur in a gang, get out!

Its not fair, its dumb, and as LONG as our wimpy school leaders contend with JUNK people like that, we will become a dictatorship instead of a free country!! Im sorry you have to deal with it...
They will change the colors/the mascot/ ALL of it because of this stupidity!

No, I think school dress codes are a bunch of **** and I've been out of school since 1999. They've gotten even more fascist since I was in school.
