The Neanderthals must of had a language to have held controlled hunts. Historians and archeologist's can't prove it but paintings in caves in France depict group hunting.
If they had a rudimentary language, they must have communicated their feelings. Therefore they would have had religions
Still because there are prehistoric no one can prove it.
There were flowers left with the dead a signs the had feelings for the dearly departed.

Since they're prehistorical, we have no history that tells us much about them. Even cave paintings, art historians don't know what the real purpose of the paintings are.

So... yeah, I doubt you'll find an answer here.

No way of knowing. There is evidence of ritual surrounding death, but that is not universally accepted. That is about as much as anyone can know.
