Not many, have them under control! But I did read something today that was very disturbing and because it has affected my life, I'd like to share it with my fellow Yahoo viewers:
There is an American Communication and IT corporation that sacrificed basic human rights of four dissents in the People's Republic of China, by turning them over to the Chinese Secret Police because the government was after them for protesting against the Chinese government. This American company's direct actions and influence against these four fellow human beings, who incidently were members of this particular companys international network, were then tried by a Chinese Court and sentenced to prison terms. The American company that was responsible for doing this, did it because they were more interested in making a lot of money for their services rendered to the People's Republic of China then to risk losing it because they failed to cooperate with the Chinese government in turning over those individuals that opposed their government.
This is pretty cold blooded, sacrificing fellow humans for the sake of turning a buck, and it is very disgusting for me to read something like this and even more disturbing when that American Company is Yahoo! Inc!
If they are willing to turn in four Chinese dissidents that were members of the Yahoo Community Network to the Chinese Secret Police in order to safeguard their internet contract with the Chinese government, what else are they capable of doing that we are not aware of? Now, I see how the Yahoo Staff can be so insensitive and coldblooded to the wrongs being committed against the members of the Yahoo Community, and continue to ignore requests for replies to our questions when we are sent violation notices! Other internet service providers refused to cooperate with the Chinese government in turning in dissidents who openly opposed the Chinese government, and were limited in the extent of how many internet subscribers they could have, in the Chinese market, ISP's such as Google and Sisco!
Sort of makes me wonder just what the true intentions of Yahoo! Inc, really are, and they are an American based corporation! I wonder how they will reply to this answer, since it is true and common public knowledge? Probably by sending me another Notice of Violation since they wouldn't want the rest of the Yahoo Community to know what they did, would they? Sort of tarnishes their reputation as being a upstanding American based company!
This story greatly affected my life today knowing that there are such greedy companies operating here in the USA!
