Al Sharpton can run down to Jena, Louisiana to defend black students who admittedly beat a white student unprovoked yet he is not man enough to apoligize to the Duke university lacrosse players for slandering them in the media. I hope they will sue his butt.

Don't hold your breath. He is a race pimp, and only jumps into matters in which he feels will keep racism alive and well. Otherwise, he might have to go out and get a real job instead of tying up the courts with erroneous litigation.

Where have you been? There was a huge cry out over the unfair treatment of those Duke players. The Durham County district attorney even lost his job and faced criminal charges himself, as he well should have. While those boys did live a nightmare for awhile, the system eventually righted itself and worked as it should, which is to find that those who did not commit a crime are innocent. The case is closed. Now, if those boys had been found guilty of a crime they did not commit, then I can see still talking about it. I'm not a fan of the man, but I believe the reason why Al Sharpton isn't up in arms is that he doesn't believe rich, white males like those accused in the Duke case really need nor want his support.

Sharpton is a racist lying SOB, he can never and will never apologize for something he said regardless of how racist or horrible it was (is) He does not truly give a d-a-m-n about the blacks in this country (USA) all he is concerned about is making sure there is racial strife so he can continue to get his pay check and live the high life.
Taking a line from the OJ trial and modifying it a tad for AL, "If the glove fits, your a piece of s-h-i-t"
People like Al and Jesse do more to hurt race relations than the worst white people, they are cynical, and hypocritical as well as liars and use their power or position to influence ignorant people

He should apologize. He made a rush to judgment and it's the respectable thing to do. If a white man had made the rush to judgment about a black man- then Al would be demanding the apology.
However, don't hold your breath. None of these folks who like to stir up trouble apologize when it turns out they were wrong. Guess his momma never taught him to apologize when you make a mistake.

As far as I know, he never apologized for the irresponsible and untrue allegations he made during the Tawana Braley hoax. So it might be a while.

You mean like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilley, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter do daily? They consistently attack and slander people being tried for crime without any concern for the facts-just their opinions. The play judge, jury and executioner almost daily. Do they apologize? Besides that has absolutely nothing to do with the situation you quoted. It is like comparing apples and oranges because your apples are rotten and you want to sell them so you do not want anyone to know they are rotten!
