If by 'Us' you are referring to the 'allied forces' then the answer is Germany, Italy and Japan.

To those of you listing China- this is very wrong. Japan occupied China during the Pacific war. The Chinese suffered major atrocities at the hands of the Japanese- it was for the Chinese in Asia, what the Holocaust was for the Jews in Europe. These atrocities are at the centre of ongoing tension between these two countries even today.

If you mean us as in the USA, it was Japan. The war was with both Germany and Japan but, Japan made a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor.

A lot of people think that it happened mainly due to an ultimatum sent by the Japanese not getting to the Whitehouse on time. Many Japansese soldiers are said to bear great shame because of it as there attack violated the bushido code.

Again assuming "us" means the United States.
Japan attacks the U. S. Territories of Hawaii (Pearl Harbor), the islands of Guam, Wake and Midway. The Aleutian Island of Attu and the port of Dutch Harbor and our possessions in the Philippine Islands. A submarine attacked an oil refinery at Long Beach, California..
High altitude balloons were launched from Japan to drop high explosive bombs over the Pacific Northwest. Their purpose was to set forest fires. No fires set as a result of the balloon bombs. However a curious man discovered one and was killed as him and his family were picnicking in the woods in Oregon. The only war related death in the Continental United States.
The Germans attacked shipping along the Atlantic Coast and off of New York City. They sunk thousand of ton of war supplies destine for England. At one time the Germans controlled the shipping lanes in the Gulf on Mexico.
Those were the only attacks on U.S. possessions, territories and ships in United States waters or within the three mile limit.
The other Axis countries only attacked the U.S. in organized battle groups with the Germans or the Japanese.
During WWII, Nationalist China and Communist China were our Allies.

Word up, JLL 1976.

How sad it is to see that those who once had the Chinese as their allies now think China belonged to the Axis and "attacked us" ("us" being the Americans).

Isn't this the Age of Information?

Is this the result of 50 years of Cold War disinformation??

If you are referring to the United States, Japan is the only one who attacked U.S. territory, and also occupied U.S. territory in the Aleutian Island chain. Germany attacked U.S. shipping and landed a group of sabateurs in New York, who were quickly captured before fulfilling their mission. They were subsequently executed.

if by us you mean the U.S, than the 3 major countries were Germany, Italy, Japan, and some of the smaller ones were Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, there were a few more but they played either minor roles or no role at all.
