I just plugged in a new, bigger, wide monitor to my computer and all my photos and web pages are stretched. How can I get them back to normal proprtions?

First, set the desktop resolution to the native resolution of the monitor.

If you do not see widescreen modes listed in the available selection you need to download the latest video drivers for your system.

Once you have that then you have square pixels, rather than ones that are stretched horizontally.

Next you need to not use a picture viewer that forces the aspect ratio of the window onto the picture being displayed. If you force a 6 by 4 picture to be full screen on a 16:10 aspect ratio screen then it will always look stretched. Most reasonable photo viewers will get the picture to fill the height or width of the screen at the correct aspect ratio of the picture, and then put a background colour on the rest of the window.

Left click your start button, go to control panel, then choose display, then press the settings tab and in there you will see the screen resolution, drag the bar back to a lower setting to make it smaller.

The higher the numbers the larger the data on the screen, a standard screen is 800 X 600

Then press ok and your done.

No. widescreen determination would be adapted by ability of your computing device for the game. YOuc an allso regulate the determination in the game or perhaps thrugh your video enjoying cards settings. enjoying video games in a window isn't counseled in any respect. FUllscreen is often the perfect determination.
