OMG YES~ And I always have the closed captioning on on my TV~ I cant really pay attention to a TV show or movie if the words arent on the bottom. I LOVE SUBTITLES lol

I MUST have the subtitles on, even if it is an English language film. I've grown accustomed to doing it. Also, the words spoken don't always match what is in the subtitles.

I prefer the subtitles off, sometimes the words block images in the movie, and I can't read that fast, so I can't keep up, plus, some subtitles are way off, sometimes they aren't even what the persons saying.

I do because I like to read them but then I never manage to see the movie because I'm too busy reading the subtitles

I love the subtitles! Especially in movies where there are technical details that the characters are describing, the subtitles make it easy to comprehend the action. It drives my husband nuts though, so we have to compromise on which movies to have them on. ;oD

Before I placed Deutsch subtitle to help me learn the German language quickly. Now it depends on the movie.
