how do i do this problem?

-3/4x - 2 = -8 i got 1/12

-3/4x=-8+2
-3x=4(-6)
-3x=-24
x=8

Add two to both sides
-3/4x = -6

Mulitply by -1
3/4x = 6

Multiply 4/3 to both sides
x = 24/3 = 8
