I have tried putting a pin in the pin hole, but it didn't work. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Missing critical step. With the key in the ignition, you must turn it to the ACC position, insert the paper clip in the hole depressing the pin while turning turning to the left. It will move a little further, then the cylinder will pull out.

You must have the key in also. You need something larger than a pin. A large paper clip works well. You must push on the clip hard enough to depress the lock and release the cylinder.

Yeah you need a key to acc position if you dont have a key i would call a locksmith then cause you'll probably have to drill the cylinder and theres a right and a wrong place to drill.
