I have tapes I play occasionally, there is a tape player in my wife's car, my truck has a CD player. I have records I think about playing and I recently got an Audacity program I plan to use to dub tapes and records onto the computer to burn on CD's. I also have some 8 tracks, but I don't know if they are still any good, they've been stored in our shed, the player I have should still be working.

I don't have a cassette player anymore, but some of my friends do.

I remember reading an article in a computer magazine about how Blu-ray players will come with a chip built in which is supposed to fry itself if you play a pirated disk, therefore rendering your player permanently useless. I won't be going down the blu-ray road for this reason alone. Can we really trust the technology not to make a mistake, even once? So yes, in some ways we are getting screwed.

We don't have the 8-track player anymore, but we have a turntable and a lot of old vinyl records. Also a few cassettes and a cassette player in one of our cars that we had to order specially.

I have a collection of my favorite cassette tapes that I still play in my car's cassette tape player, which still works. Don't have a CD player in my car, so glad I still have some tapes.:)

My mom has a bunch of tapes and records. She plays them on her Tape/Record/CD/Radio player me and my sisters got her for Mother's day =P
