A basal thermoniter is to determin when you are ovalating at the right time of the month to try and get pregnant.

It can be taken in 3 different areas of a girl's body.

In her mouth under her tongue.

In her vaginal.

and

in her anus rectum.

You have to take your tempature as soon as you wake up that mourning before you do anything.

You cannot have a bath or shower.

You cannot brush you teeth.

You can not even use the toilet.

There are a lot of other things I could tell you on how to use and the tempature reading etc. etc.
Hope that helps you out some.
Good Luck.
Laurey.

A "basel" thermometer is a thermometer specifically used for taking your body temperature for charting your cycles.

It has an extra digit. Like a regular one would say 98.6 where a basel thermometer will say 98.64 its just a bit more procise for better accuracy when noticed temperature changes when charting for ovulation.

I think you mean "basal" to measure basal body temperature. That is the temperature first thing in the morning before even going to the bathroom.
