Yes. It's generally called "assault." (The movies are wrong. "Battery" is when you actually hit someone.)

Yes you can get arrested for making a death threat--or even a threat of harm. And you should be! People have a right to go about their legal business in peace and security, without fear.
The criminal charge is "uttering threats". For the charge to stick, the person being threatened has to have reasonable grounds to think that he or she will be harmed.
I'm a 57 year-old teacher, and the hardest physical work I do is waving a piece of chalk in the air. In other words, I'm about as much threat as a pile of inner tubes when it comes to the rough stuff. If I told (for example) a USMC martial arts instructor that I was going to make him spit out his teeth like Chiclets, and break every bone in his body, I doubt very much that the cops would charge me--even if the guy did complain to them.
In other words, if you meant the threat, are able to harm the person threatened, and appear as if you mean business, you can and should be arrested. No sympathy from me whatsoever.
If you were just shooting your mouth off, that might be a different story. In my life, I have regretted opening my mouth a lot more often than I have regretted keeping it shut. Learn from that.

Yes you can. Depending on where you live, yo can be charged with harassment or making threats. Even if there is no evidence to prosecute you, if you are arrested the charge will stay on your record, which can have long term negative effects.

Certainly you can be charged with disorderly conduct, menacing or with making terroristic threats, among other things. If the person or group threatened is/are in politics, it gets even worse.

Yes you can. That kind of stuff isn't protected under the first amendment. I don't know what the official charges would be.
