i just need a reminder on how to solve this problem.

find the slope intercept form of the equation of the lin that passed through the given point and has the indicated slope.

(2.3,-8.5) m= -5/2

y=mx+b

Put the m that was given in for m.
use the two points given and put in for y and x.
Solve for b.
When you have b rewrite the slope equation with only the m and b inserted.

'Standard' slope intercept is
y = mx + b so plug in the x, y, and m values you have and solve for b.
