if you could add one more amendment to the constitution that would IMPROVE the lives of most americans, what would it be and why?

i have to do an essay about it for my civics class and i wanted other people's opinions. i'm thinking about doing something on allowing gay marriages or death penalty for rape/ child molestation.what do you think?

I couldn't agree more about the gay marriage issue. That was what I was going to say before seeing you already wrote it. Death penalty, I am totally against. I don't care who you are or what you have done, an eye for an eye is a barbaric concept and I'd like to think we've evolved a little higher than that. Lowering ourselves to the level of the convicted does no good in any way. That's my two bits.

I would institute term limits on all politicians. Now they stay in so long, they lose touch with the will of the people. Have you ever seen such arrogance in your life? When they are too secure, corruption takes precedence. In order for them to stay in power, they lie and distort everything. That goes for both parties.
