Well to begin with, you don't remember where you took this tour???
What time of year was it???

Most states have cool to cold weather in winter time...
Maybe not Florida or Texas much...

I would say your pine trees are likely to be in the North most of the time...
We do have a few in the south, but not too many...

There are many lakes and streams and rivers all over the USA..
A lot of states are very pretty when you travel...
Some are small and some are bigger...
It is so varied all over the USA that I would have a hard time pinning down what you are looking for exactly...

I happen to like more northern states that give you more varied climates, like Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, Michigan, Vermont, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, etc...
I didn't name everything cause like I said there are many that match your description...
It is hard to narrow down what you might be looking for...

properly, I evaluate america to be a generic international usa, like various different. There are some truly run down factors and there are undesirable human beings all around factors of the globe, yet once you spend 3 weeks in someplace like India, this place feels like heaven. i'm conversing approximately widespread suburbs interior the U. S..
