Husband came home late last night because of working late. His shirt smelled like sweet perfume and he denied it. After pressing him he said "Oh maybe my Boss hugged me and she wears perfume." After he took a shower- he became mean and distant. Right before bed HE brought it up again saying he couldn't believe that it bothered me. This is the first I noticed the perfume smell.

The fact that he said "MAYBE his boss hugged him" is a HUGE sign - he is DEFINITELY hiding SOMETHING...
He may not have gone as far as actual cheating (as in having sex) - but there's a VERY good chance he was doing something innapropriate (likely with this boss of his).
The OTHER giveaway was when he tried to shift the blame onto you - by getting mad that you NOTICED the telltale perfume smell...
If he keeps acting mean and distant, then you will know for sure - and it will be time to take the prick to divorce court ;););)

The little you have said i would say yes he is cheating on you.When you mentioned the perfume it took him a few seconds to think of something. You do know there is only two ways perfume gets on you, one you put it on yourself or when you and the other person are sweating together and the perfume in her skin soaks into your skin. He took a shower toget the evidence off him then he came out and got all defensive. He will not make that mistake again. The next time be on the lookout for the smell of soap,when he gets in bed smell his skin if he just took a shower you will know by the fresh smell of soap. That was one of the thing my husband did, he came home with the smell of perfume when i said something he said it was in my head.The following week is when he smelled like soap ,12am no one smells like they just stepped out of a shower no one.

Just because you smelled perfume you suspect he's cheating? wow!! has he EVER given you the idea that he was cheating? Are the two of you getting along or what? Oh and you said he became mean and distant--but you DID say he was WORKING LATE ---maybe he could have been TIRED and maybe his boss DID hug him as a THANK YOU for working late... give the guy a break for now but listen and WATCH how he acts and smells from now on if you are suspicious... however, be prepared to totally destroy your marriage if you are INCORRECT!!!!!

Not necessarily cheating. Brush it off for now be cool but remain observant of the sweet smells and defensive behavior. If no more perfume smells after a week or two simply discard and let it go. If the smell shows up again you may need to up your game and send hubby to work with one of your sweet smelling perfumes after giving him a huge kiss and hug before sending him off to work. Make sure your perfume smell is on his shirt and it makes it to his office. Best to you.

What is your woman intuition telling you? It never lies. Next time he comes home late, greet him at the door in some sexy lingerie. Start to seduce him and make your way down to his private and kiss around it. If it smells like soap or another woman, not good. If it smells like sweat that means he had a long day and he is ok. Sounds crazy, but it's worth a shot.
He shouldn't come home smelling like another woman or like a fresh bar of soap.

Maybe he went to the mall and one of the sales bimbos said
"I have Channel" and sprayed him with perfume before he could dive out of the way.
And here he was looking to get you a nice anniversary gift.

Your husband is definitely too close to another woman and that is a fact that you now know.Something is definitely going on and is worth you investigating a little deeper.My opinion is he is definitely having an affair.
