Just wanted to know. Its really old. It still has the wheat things on the left, it also alot smaller than the average penny today. The ab lincoln it as defined either. Just wondering. But i don't think it is unless your a penny colecter and need on from that year to complete the collection....LOL anyways answer please

nope! :] wait, maybe if you got like 1000 1950 pennies, you can melt them and it will turn into copper! copper is more expensive than the penny itself!!

its because in 1983 penny makers decided it was more cheaper to put zinc in pennies instead of copper So all the pennies that are under <-1983 are made with real copper!

i just learned this in physical science! :P

If you cent is smaller than the cent of today, then it is not real and is a novelty item. If it is very small it is one of the mini coins that have come out over the years. There was an ad in last weeks Coin World for a set of the denominations of today but with different dates. In the world of coin collecting 1957 is just like yesterday. We are not as bad as the geologists who talk like a million years is nothing. It has little value but is a conversation item.

it is worth one penny... that is if you only have one, if there's two then you are the pround owner of 0.02 american dollars. Give yourself a pat on the back.
