Do I have a misunderstanding or your description is mistaken?
You said "Mouthwash is 21.6% alcohol by volume". That means for any volume of this mouthwash, 21.6% of the volume is alcohol. You then say "Each pint contains .358 of a pint of alcohol." How can that happen?
