The ruling said Federline, 29, would retain custody until a new hearing, set for October 26, except when Spears was visiting. During those times, "all visitation with (Spears), shall be in the presence of a monitor."

The monitor "shall terminate visitation immediately if any conduct or action by (Spears) endangers the minor children," it said.

Gordon repeated past orders that Spears undergo random drug testing twice a week, and said that a missed test, refusal to take one or the failure to respond to a testing agency's call would be considered a failed test.

Other previous stipulations dealing with counseling and parental coaching remained in effect.

She already lost custody, and yes, it was the right decision. A judge doesn't take away custody from the mother over petty things. She must have been doing something serious to endanger her children, whether she meant to or not. I don't think she's intentionally being a bad mom, she's just really messed up and needs psychiatric evaluation. I do believe she loves her kids, though.

I am not a Britney fan and I am especially not a Kevin Federline fan but what I don't get is that they'll take custody from Britney and give it to Kevin? Has nobody realized he's a bigger crackhead than she is? Okay, so he's laying low and not out showing his crotch off to everybody (thank God!) or the like, but is he really a fit parent? I think the kids should go to Britney's parents. At least they have their best interests in mind!

Yes only until she gets her shyte straight. All moms deserve a chance.

And as a teen mother (I was 17 when I had my daughter, she is 5 now), I went through post=partum depression. It is the most horrible, worst thing. Your horomoes are all messed up and make you do stupid things.

I dont beleive its her fault. Even though I am not a fan and never have been. I feel for her and know how hard it is (Except that she is a millionaire).

I think she should have a couple months to get back and get her kids again.

If that is what it takes for her to get her life cleaned up, yes.

I know a lot of people make fun of her and her situation, but this is a serious thing that has happened to her now. She needs to wake up and get help fast. Her family and all her lawyers need to force her into rehab if necessary.

I applaud the judge for making this decision. Maybe he sees this as her only hope of getting the help she needs. She is too young and has the responsibilities of motherhood to waste her life in alcohol and drugs.

Neither of them deserves custody of those kids. They should have thier names changed and be placed with an adoptive family, where they will not be seen in the spotlight, and can live a normal life.

No, I do not think that she should lose custody, because I think that Kevin Federline would be even worse for the kids than she would be.

She shouldn't have been allowed to reproduce in the first place. Especially with a Yutz like Fedderline.

Yes she should,but only temporarily.

If she goes to rehab, and gets counseling,I think she shouldn't have a problem getting her children back.

yes she should, and she did! she is not a good mother, from wat iv'e seen and heard. part of WHY she lost custody is b/cuz she failed the drug test & right after the judge told her that she must not drink and go out to clubs and party, guess wat, that night she got caught leaving a club, which makes u wonder did she want the kids or not? i dont think so and i think she wanted to fail the drug test as well, she doesn't deserve anything that she has, there are lots of good ppl out there that deserve wat britney has....i dont like her!!!!!!
