In the United States the federal minimum wage is $5.65/hour. Many states have mandated higher minimum wages than the federal minimum. I am not sure if either Mexico or France has a minimum wage.

The current US federal minimum wage is $5.85 per hour. The minimum wage in Mexico is $4.65 per day. France has a $10 per hour minimum wage

in a lot of developed countries the us minimum wage is seen as a scandalous joke. what do americans make $5-$6 per hour?

australia = $13.91 (21yo) - temping can get you $25ph for a secretary, or as low as $16ph for a cleaner

uk = 5.52 pounds

Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Cyprus have no minimum wage laws

NZ = $11.25
France = 8.50 euro's (or there abouts)

In the USA it depends on the State. The federal minimum wage is $5.65, but in CA in January, it will be $8.00.

france doesn't have a minimum wage? that might explain the riots.
