we had to:
-get up and change the channel on the TV
-get up to answer the phone
-add ingredients together to make food
-wait in lines at the bank
-use a slide rule (phyically more effort)

You also forgot other chores like:
wash up, wipe up ,help with the laundry, house work, & gardening etc etc etc .......
- lived on a property & had heaps of other stuff that I helped parents with...eg cattle & crops.
-and we didn't get paid for it either. M&D wud say "Just be happy to have clothes on your back, a roof ova ur head & food on table."
We did it to help out - because we loved, respected and appreciated the sacrifices our parents made for us ...
(& because we didn't dare say NO!)
...& I thought it was the worst life eva! but I'd trade it for the ratrace any day. It was a character building experience!
You only get out of life what you put into it.

one does not have to be abused in their Own home
as termites that all of a sudden wake you up in the middle of the night and want you to crawl in too a crib because they are thirsty as a crib is for infants not infantile paralysis
get up yourself if you are thirsty YOU PEE DO NT YOU..??

probably true. im a teenager right now and i admit that i can be lazy but not really! im actually pretty active! i like hate sitting around unless if its those days when i just dont feel like it. :)

I don't know if they're necessarily lazier, but they sure have a greater sense of entitlement, and a lack of manners that I find appalling!
