I agree with u. Yahoo answers is supposed to be a disscussion group not a trivia. SO in my opinion, everyone should post their opinions. Plus it also helps the answeres to answer the question in their opinion and also be able to tell why they don't or do agree with the questioner. I guess that will help the questioner a little better to understand other people's prospective about that issue or topic and understand how their stand point is in relation to the answeres stand point.

In some cases yes, but there are cases when a questioner would like to remain neutral to ascertain the genuine responses of the answerer...

Well , you are asking a Question when you already know what your views are
if you really want to share your views than why dont you add up all details to the question and say that
"................, these are my views , so now i would like to know tha what are your views about this Question"

I think that's what the comments section after you choose best answer allows you to do. I asked a question last week then used that to say why I asked and what I do...
It wouldn't fly under certain categories, though.

I also think they should pick a best answer. I really hate it if they post a trivia question and never give us the answer.

I answer the question & get on with my life. I don't dwell on it. If I ask a question, it's because I want info and don't have an answer. I'm sure there are people that would agree with you.

No; the asker's opinion can be expressed in the extra details, if necessary or appropriate.
