I'm coming in from out of town (obviously, :) ) what is the best, and cheapest way to get from the train station to Hostel International?

you can walk, it is only 9 blocks away, or buy a CTA day pass for $5, and take bus 1,7,126,151 to state or wabash, only walk 1 to 2 blocks.
Hostel $38 per day.

Go out of the train station and go to the east side. Catch the No. 1 bus. It will drop you off on Congress and Michigan ave. Walk one block west to Wabash. Cost: $2 if you pay cash on the bus.

Catch a cab it is very close so it will be only couple bucks. Walk it is only about 15 minutes.
