it's OK...

your processor is a little slow, if your in love with AMD I'd go with at least a 5200+ or better yet the 6400...but duo's are still faster then any AMD (from the 6750 up...) or in your case it would be comparable to a 43xx or 44xx..

your video card is pretty old and it's only dx9...no dx10 but it should be playable at lower resolution with decient frame rates...but I'd still go with at least a 1950 or better yet an 88xx.

your ram is also old and slow, you want ddr2 6400, 800mhz. not that 667mhz stuff in there.

everything else is pretty standard.

No.

1) The CPU is slow (you said NEW games, right?)
2) 1GB memory is ok for old games, not enough for new. Get 2GB or more of DDR2 6400 800MHz or faster. You may try to overclock yours.
3) The memory is slow.
4) The videocard is SLOW. get 7900GT or 8600 GTS. newegg have decent deals for open box items.. I've just ordered 8600 GTS overclocked for like $125 shipped.

5) The hard drive is quite small. May not be a problem if you don't have video/mp3 collection

It is an average gaming set up that should be good enough for FSX. It will play many games up to medium quality and medium resolutions only. For more excitement and also be more future proof, get a DX10 card, at least the factory overclocked 8600GT. Then overclock your processor to 2.6ghz or higher.

OK for DX9 games in XP but you need more ram. If you have Vista get an Nvidia 8000 ot ATI 2000 series to run DX10. I just put an XFX 640MB 8800GTS D4 in and it really rocks in Lost Planet with DX10.

Its okay that will ask you for the next 3 years , Some things such as 1gd ddr ram stuck out to me. It depends many simulation games are very ram demanding i would try to upgrade to 2 gigs besides that you look all good.

yes it is, if you want better performance you should upgrade your video card to a nVidia, and install more ram. most of the computers that want to play bio-shock cant because their computer sucks but i think u can play any game.
