I am assuming that you are referring to "Power Of Attorney." If it is recognized in the courts of Virginia, it should be recognized in the courts of Texas.

However, have you asked your attorney about this? If you did not have an attorney set up the power of attorney, then you may be in trouble. A lot of people download a packet for Power of Attorney off the internet and then improperly fill it out.
