my husband is a roofer and owns his own business with his best friend. he came home 2 1/2 hrs after dark and swears he was working the whole time but how do you roof a house when its dark out? i just dont know if i can trust him. please only serious answers or i will turn you in.

Roofers work at night; they use lighting. Really, I think women have this 'intuition' about cheating. It isn't the same as thinking about if he is cheating - you KNOW he is cheating. I think he is being honest with you.

well you should "feel" it. you must know if he has acted strangely lately, if he still shows affection, interest, sexual drive etc.... if there are some significant changes and rare behaviour, chances are you are in a crisis.
but also it can be something naive... maybe he just wanted to talk to his friend or have a beer somewhere and than did not want to say it... Men sometimes behave like kids who come to Mama and are afraid to tell the truth so she does not punish them.
Talk to your husband, tell him you worry about him, and that when he stays away for long, he should let you know where he is and how long he will be out.
Don't have paranoia and try to organize your household like a grown up, together with your man.

My dad was a roofer and he worled after dark at times. it's called flood lighting. If you have a reason to think that he is cheating then tr to dig up some dirt.

You never really know unless you can catch him. You could try to go to the site that he's suppose to be working and check up on him. If he's acting different toward you or has lost interest then more than likely he probably is. Is this something that he just started doing or has this been going on?

Well they can work with light It cant be totally dark! but if he was cheating on you it would automatically look so suspicious and not right....like lying or not being able to look at you in the eyes because he is hiding something from you.

My husband was a roofer and he never worked after dark . If your husband works with hot tar that means he gets it on his clothes and he stinks. I wouldn't touch my husband until he got right in the shower.Does he have a shower in his office and does he have a secretary ??

OK that last line only serious answers or you will turn us in please not that serious....now you got it right how do you work on a roof at nite but some have lighting to see like Verizon when they work in the man holes so that's suspect,but if you pay attention to him like his reaction how he answer you or just his demeanor you can tell watch him like a hawk and pay close attention cuz if he is it will show

He might have been cleaning up on the ground? It can be a lot of work.
He might of gone for a beer with his friend and is afraid to tell you for fear you will be angry.
Or he might be up to something.
