Is there any camera at all in the world that doesn't need a laptop to record to the internet, just a wi-fi connection? Could it be battery-powered? Thanks in advance.

Lots of them. Just look for wifi webcams. You hook a computer to them and enter the login for whatever wireless network you're trying to attach to. The main problem is that you need to know the IP the webcam has to connect to it over the internet. Most of them will be powered by 12volts DC so you could run them off any 12 volt battery. Use a car battery if it has to last 2 weeks.

its no longer his pc it somewhat is slowing down, yet his internet connection, and and you're utilising torrents, then you somewhat are sucking up the bandwidth. we could say you have a connection velocity of 6 mb/s while you're downloading a action picture, at 5 mb/s that leaves a million mb/s on your dad. 2: i discover while i exploit torent on my instant, it motives the router to overheat. I had to tutor down the style of connections to unravel that. besides as proscribing the value. ( which might resolve the 1st difficulty too) 3 definite, in the adventure that your desktops are networked he can see the background of what you have executed on line from his pc, ( or maybe from the log document of the router) the area of the router to the modem does not remember. long tale short, do no longer use torrents while he's utilising the pc, decelerate its velocity and you will no longer burn out your router. or greater applicable yet, take your laptop to a hotspot, then you somewhat won't harm yours in any respect.
